Common compliance challenges.
Suretrans is a fast-expanding business with the fleet of vehicles increasing all the time which was causing issues with the amount of admin involved in dealing with paper defect reporting.
The delay in processing the daily walk round checks especially with our off sites was compromising our ability to stay compliant with the undertakings of our O-Licence.

Importance of compliance.
Ensuring we are DVSA, FORS and Cross Rail compliant is very important to us so moving away from an unreliable and time-consuming paper-based system to a more efficient and robust digital system was an easy decision for us.
Implementing Vehocheck.
In early 2016, we began using Vehocheck initially on a trial basis, we first implemented it on a selection of our vehicles and drivers at our main depot, and then expanded the rollout to the rest of the SureTrans fleet.
Our biggest challenge in implementing a digital defect reporting system was with the drivers and their use of technology, but the Vehocheck app is so simple and intuitive to use that even the biggest technophobes can be won over with its ease of use.
From a management point of view, the reporting and notifications of defects, email alerts and scheduling of maintenance have made it so much easier for us to manage now, whilst ensuring DVSA compliance in an expanding business.
How Vehocheck improved our compliance.

All the reports are sent directly to whoever needs to receive them so the rectification process can start sooner. With the reduction in administration required, it is easy to keep on top of the defect reporting system which always keeps us compliant”.

We run a fleet of mixed vehicle types and as there’s not a “one size fits all” vehicle check. Vehocheck created different checks for our different vehicles which are all DVSA and FORS compliant but with additional bespoke checks based on our requirements.
We have also been delighted with new features and updates, Vehocheck keeps adding to the system such as the ‘Scheduling’ which again is a fantastic extra that makes the whole job of maintenance planning and reporting so much easier.
